Truancy Diversion

The Truancy Diversion Program's goal is to prevent students from becoming truant (absent from school without permission). REACHH partners with the Summers County Board of Education in order to help students and families who are at-risk of or are truant. The truancy diversion specialist meets with students and families to discuss the Summers County Board of Education's attendance policy, assist the family in determining what is preventing students from attending school, assist the student and family with improving grades, and informing families about the community resources that are available.
